A voung man named Pfaff was convicted* and fined under the War Regulations to-day for issuing letters tending to interfere with the proper trading of an oversea vessel. The letters were found m the possession of two seamen who were arrested, and convicted of desertion. Notes were given recommending the seamen to persons in the-Beefton. district lor employment.
