PRICE FOR CHEESE OUTPUT

Duncdin, October 38-- J A- meeting of representatives from the Ofago dairy factories was held yesterday to consider a communication from the Prims Minister, acting on behalf ot the Imperial Government, covering an of-fer-for the season's output of cheese. The Prime Minister also intimated that a conference of delegates would-be held at-Wellington on Wednesday, connected rfth tho offer. Messrs. J A, Park and T Parker were appointed to represent Otago factories at the conference, rue Southland delegates, Mr TV.. Foster and Mr. .T: Fisher, and Mr. d. W. Lams, secretary of the association, will leave for Christchurch this morning, to nrrango for the appointment of Cantert>urv delegates, and will go pn from Lyttelton on Tuesday night with the delegation It, is understood that- the Imperial Government's -offer is 9jd. per lb- and the estimated output from the Dominion is given as 50,000 tons. A strong effort, will no doubt bo made at the conference to secure the same price the Home Government is paying for the Canadian outpnt.
