KUMARA PLANTS FOR DISTRJBUTION
The Journal of tho Department of Agriculture states that the manager of the Tauranga Horticultural Station (Mr. .T. H. Davidson) advises that thcro will bo a cons'ioVable surplus of kuniara. (sweet potato) plants available at the station this season. The plants in question inclndo some of the American varieties, and as these have been thoroughly tested and found superior to those grown by tho Maoris it has been decided to distribute them as far as practicable on application to the manager. The best time for planting mil is from Hip end of November to Hie first, week in .lamiHi'y.
