COURT-MARTIAL
CARROLL SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS'HARD LABOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, October 27. Francis Joseph Carroll, tried yesterday by District Court-martial on a oharge of alleged desertion from the Expeditionary Force, has been sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labour. The sentence has been confirmed and promulgated by the Officer Commanding the\Wellington District, Colonel Hume.
