WHAT CAUSEDJHE DISASTER (Kec. October 27, 5.30 p.m.) London, October 87. The "Dailv Chronicle's" Paris correspondent states that the log of Zeppelin L 49 shows that the disaster was due to the breakdown of the Zeppelin system of steering by wireless signals, ihe Zeppelins had no means of correcting the drift caused by the wind, and hence tho compass often was useless. Every Zeppelin was in constant touch with several wireless stations in Germany, which sent a constant stream of indications, so ennblinK them to 6teer a correct course. On Friday the wirelcsa direottons went astray, or were indecipherable, so that (ho airships lost their bennnga.-Aus.-N.Z. Gable Awn.
SIXTH ZEPPELIN ACCOUNTED FOB. (Eec. October 27, 5.30 p.m.) Paris, Ootober 27. It is definitely stated that a sixth Zeppelin of the raiding squadron sank in the Mediterranean.
