COUNTRY AND SUBURBAN
s HOUSE LIGHTING. ; Suburban and country householder! '_ j have for many years suffered from al '. | tho inconveniences inseparable from th( [ j uso of kerosene lamps or acetylene gas i Just at present carbide is almost an ; j procurable, and the small supplies avail ! able arc being sold at exorbitant prices j as much as ,£lO being charged for 2cwt j drums. This shortage of carbide has ! been to many people a blessing in disi guise, aa it has decided them to dispense i with their expensivo and dangerous i acetylene gas plants and have "Wizard" i Lighting Systems installed instead. | Tjie '"wizard" Light is ideal for coun- ; try homes and stores: it is cheap tc i instal and cheap to use. Tho lamps arc I patented and nvo in every way superior to any other hollow wire lamps on the market. A few people who had uot heard of the merits of the "Wizard?' Light have- been persuaded _ to ■ instal lamps that are made on a principle long since discarded in "Wizard" Lumps. These lamps require a torch dipped iu | methylated spirit to light them, so thut : a householder on arriving home at night I must first ligi't « match and find the j methylated spirit bottle, then a ilaring torch is applied to the lamp for about a minute before the lamp will light. To ! light a "Wizard" Lamp an ordinary nmtoh is applied to the generator for a few seconds, a lever is turned, and the lamp is alight. The "Wizard" generator is fitted with an automatic needle to keep the jot clean, while tho generator on other lamps must be pricked with a needle, the same as a primns stove. "Wizard" Lamps are insect proof, which means a groat saving in mantles and probes in the summer. Country and suburban residents should write at once to Messrs. Early Bros., IH., 187 Feafherston Street, Wellington, for full particulars and prices of "Wizard" Lighting Systems before being pcreuaded that some other system is "just as good."~(Fublished by arrangement.)
