ANNUAL MEETING. The report presented' at tho annual meeting of the Hataitai Bathing Club stated that the committee had had under consideration various schemes for extending tho shed, but owing to the abnormal prices for building material, etc., it had not been considered advisable to co on with the work. Tha principal addition to the assets of the club during the year -tfas tho purchase of a punt, wjuch "had proved a great sucscss. The thanks of tho club aro extended to Mr. l'urkert, who dovoted a. great deal of limo nml enor"y to the successful launching of tho punt. Representations ivero mado to the Harbour Board to reserve Hataitai Bay for swimming purposes, and a letter has been received from the board stating that they will consult tho club before leasing anv portion of the Joreshoro near the club's sheds. Tho membership of tho clul) w 70 life and 91 ordinary members. The report was adopted without discussion. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted ns under:—Patron, Br. A. K. Newman, M.P.; president, Mr. B. A. Batt (re-elected); vice-presidents. Messrs. H. I). Edwards, F. Furkcrt, G. Hallidny, C. Beasley, C, Penney, nnd J. C. Burbery; committee. Messrs. G. Sadd, H. Henderson, G. Jones, A. Brodio, .T.' T. Pettigrew, A. Buckmasler, W. Bd«:ards, T. Cunliffe; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Linney (re-elected); anditor, Mr. ,T. L. Areus.
