ALFREDTON CATTLE FAIR.
Iho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile e ' lc i; Company, Ltd., report having <>!• j/ 1611 annual spring cattle fair nt Alfredton on Thuiwday, when they offered a full yarding to a large attendance of buyers from the local and surrounding districts. Young cattle wore in good demand, and practically oil were disposed of under the hammer. Tbrco and four-year steers met with good competition lo a cortain point, but vendors' reserves were rather'on t.ho high side, and a number of lines were passed out unsold.
