ALLOWANCES FOR SECOND DIVISION
A CfIRISTCHiraCH PROTEST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, October 22. At a largely attended public meeting held in His Majesty's Theatre, the following resolution wis carried"That this public meeting of citizens of Christchurch supports ths protest of the Sccond Division League against the Government's refusal to grant the allowances asked for by tlia Second Division Leagues for married soldiers, and urges the Government to reconsider the position in view of the fact that no proof has been given to the public that tho Dominion cannot afford to grant those demands."
