Sheep met with a good demand, but several pens of cattlo failed to reach vendors' rosctves. Quotations:—Cattle: Jersey bulls, £8 10a. to £12; yearling heifers, £6 175.; springing heifers, to £14. Sheep: Empty ewes, 295. 7d. to 31s. 9d.; ewes with lambs, 31s. to 385.; fat ewes, 375.

Farmers' Co-operative Assooiation, Ltd., stock department, report having held their weekly sale at Oarterton on Friday, when they yarded a fulj entry of plga, cattle and sheep to a good attendance. In spite of the unsettled weather that prevailed throughout tho day bidding at auction was animated, arid we have to report a total clearance, with the exception of ono pen of cull heifers. Cattle sold well, bnt sheep in some cases failed to realise vendors' ideas of value, although the bulk of the entry changed hands by tho end of the day. Small shorn hoggets, 225. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Palmerston North on Thursday wo had a good entry of cattle and a small muster of sheen. There was a good demand for all classes of cattle, and most lines olianged hands, young stock selling well. All the sheep yarded sold. At Feilding on Friday we had a fairly good entry of both sheep and cattle, which were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Cattle were in good demand, Rnd soli' well.
