NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES
REQUEST FOR LEGISLATION. Tho Prime Minister was asked by Mr. Hudson in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon if •ho would bring in legislation to provide, against the anomalies caused by the fixing of the new electoral boundaries where it was shown ■that the interests of residents of affected districts were seriously affected thereby. Mrl Massey said he did not think any such legislation would be introduced this .eession, though he had heard of a numBer of- complaints, from different districts If the Boundary Commissioners, through their chairman, thought such legislation was necessary, it could be introduced next session, but at present .the arguments advanced did not lead Ilia .Government to the coriclusior. that legislation was .necessary, ' ■•.-■■
