SWIMMING CARNIVAL
On Thursday evening last the combined Bible Classes of Wellington hold a swimming carnival at the -boys' Institute Tepid Swimming Baths, Tasmaa Street. Tlic gala was a. success in. every sense of the word, the events being keonly contested, aud the utmost enthusiasm prevailing throughout.. The results of the ruces were as follow:—
33 l-3rd Yards, Free Stylo (Boys under 18).—First heat: J. Powell 1, F. Carr 2; also started-W. Kobb, A. Hawke. Second heat: V. Hopkirk 1, C. Port. 2; also started—A. Wilson, Y. Penny, H. Desmond. Final: V. Hopkirk 1, C. i'ort 2.
