MILITARY SERVICE BOARD
YESTERDAY'S APPEALS. The Third Wellington Military Service Board continued its sittings in Wellington yesterday. Mr. H. J. Beswick presided, and with- him were Messrs. A. O'L. G'orisidine and M. J. Mack. Captain P. Baldwin appeared as military representative The board adjourned sine die twentytwo appeals made by the Seamen's Union for the exemption of seamen and firemen. The following cases were similarly dealt with:—Horace H. B. Marsden, meat preserver, Pctone (appeal by Gear Meat Co.); Edward W. Humphrey, transport shipping clerk; Ernest Stanley, market gardener, Porirua; John Stanley Juleff, farmer, Johnsonville. The board adjourned for a month the ease of Private G. Holcroft, F Coy., 32nd Reinforcements, Featherston. In the case of William Ozamis, marine engineer, the board was satisfied that the appellant was not a First Division reservist. It therefore allowed the appeal. The board adjourned'till to-day.
