AN ARRANGEMENT WITH. BRITAIN ABANDONED. London, October 17. The proposed Anglo-Dutch arrangements u.nder which Holland was to import several hundred thousand tons of coal from Britain, and the latter in return was to receive a certain proportion of foodstuffs from Holland, h*s apparently broken down. The Dutch Minister for Agriculture states that the plan for requisitioning ships to bring coal from Groat Britain has been abandoned owing lo Germany's inability to guarantee their safety, oven if thoy have distinguishing marks, because they might be mistaken for submarine traps.—Renter.
