Tho N.Z: Loon and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Levin sale they had a good entry ot sheep and a fair yarding of cattle. A good clcaranco was made at tho following prices:—Pat wethers, 435. 6d. to 46?.; fat ewes, 31s. to 41s. 6d.; fat hoggets, 395.; good-conditioned hoggets. 345. 6d.; store ewes, 265. 6d.; light fat bullocks, £17 10s.; IZ-months heifers, £3 55.; good tows with cakes, £11; springing heifer, £11 10s.; dairy cow. £10. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Rangiotu on Monday we had a fair, entry, all of which sold at late rates:—2o-month heifers. £6 165.; aged store cows, £5 55.; fair store c«*fs, £7. £7 7s. 6d„ £7 12s. 6d.. £8 25.; cows and calves. £8 55., £8 12s. 6d.; forward cows, £9 3s. 6d.; fat cows, £11 Us.; springing heifers, £9 55., £11 55.; Jersey bulls, £7 7s. 6d., £8. £8 10s. Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Limited, report that at their Levin sale on.Tuesday they offered a large yarding of. hoggets and a, fair entry of rattle. Bidding was inclined to drag, audi a. few, lots were passed at auction, but no shcej'p were ajlowod to leavo the yards unsold. They quote:— M.s. woolly hoggot\ 28s. 9d., 255. 6d„ 305., 325. 9d. to 345.; cull hoggets, 255. to 245. Bd.: light-weight fat heifers, to £11 10s.; empty store cows, to £8 135.; yearling heifers, to £5 17b.; weaner steers (bad colours), £4 4y.-, springing cows. To £13; springing heifcr3, to £10; young bulls, to £9 15s. Messrs. DaJgely and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sa.lo at the Woodville yards on October 16. There was a good yarding of stock, and everything sold at good prices. Thcro was a large attendance of buyers from e.ll (parts of the' district. We quote as follows:—Cattle: Pat cows, from £10 to £17 5?.; Jersey steers, £12 2s. 6d.; Btoro cows, from £6 10s. to £9; yearling heifers, frc/tt £5 6s. to £5 125.; Jersey bull, .£5 Pies: Slips, 225. Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Limited," report having held a, very successful clearing sale on account of Mr. N. Oma.m, Hatuma, before a, good attendance of buyers. With the exception of a few unbroken horses everything was sold under the hammer, realising good prices. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report:—At ffaikonao on Thursday we had a small yarding of sheep and a good ono of cattle.
