WIND AND CLOUDS
A gusty nor'-wester, with flying masses of light grey clouds, ami intervals of general sunshine, were the salient features of yesterday's weather in Wellington. Throughout the country the weather generally varied from fair to cloudy, with scattered rain in Westland. The forecast to-day is for a continuation of nor'-westorly winds, squally at times south of Cook Strait. Conditions varying from cloudy to overcast aro to bo exported with rain probable, southward of Ivawhia and Castlepoinl, particularly in thp western districts.
