The following four colliers are due at Wellington this week;— The Komata sailed last evening for Westport to load for Wellington. The Kamona ia to leave Westport tomorrow for Wellington. The Kamo will sail this afternoon for Greymouth to load for Wellington. The Kini is to leave Greymouth to-mor-row night for Wellington. Thß Calm is due to-day from Lyttelton, and iB to sail at 5 p.m. for Wanganui, returning here on, Friday and sailing that day for Lyttelton, Bluff, and Oamaru. The Wimmera is due here on Saturday morning from Auckland, Glsborne, and Napier, and is to sail at 5 p.m. direct for Dunedin. As several new boys who are to' join the Amokura will not arrive here until tomorrow, the training ship will not sail for Cook Strait until they arrive. The Hinemoa will leave Auckland at noon to-day for the Hauraki Gulf and northern lighthouses. Assistant-keeper Neale. of the Portland Island lighthouse, will arrive in Wellington on Saturday on his way to Cape Foulwind, where ho is to relieve temporarykeeper Pottinger, who has retired from the service. The Mapourika will receive cargo until 3 p.m. to-day for Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika. The Huia is advertised to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Wanganui and New Plymouth. The Monowai is due to-morrow morning from Dunedin and Lyttelton, and will sail at 5 p.m. instead of 2 p.m. for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland.

The Corinna has been diverted from Wellington this trip, and will call at Lyttelton instead, sailing from that port for Nelson and New Plymouth.' The vessel is due here on Wedhcsday or Thursday next from New Plymouth, and will sail the same day for southern Mirts.

A meeting was held at Waitatigi, Chatham Mauds, oil October 9 to consider the purchase or a steamer for the Tsland trade. The plans and arrangements of the steamer Prosrress were discussed. She is a vessel of 320 tons with a speed of 8 knots, and will have accommodation for
