REGULAR MEETING. Veiy little business came before the last meeting, of the Central Chamber of Commerce, which was presided over by Mr. C. M. Luke. The New Zealand Society of Accountants invited the chamber to hear an address by the chairman, Mr. J. S. Barton, on "Municipal and State Trading," to be given in the Accountants' Chambers on Thursday next. . "Several new members wero e'ected. It was decided that the annual conference of chambers of commerce should be held on November 28 and 29, 1917.
