It was suggested to tlie Minister of Education in the Houeo of Representatives last evening that he should take soma action in regard to a caso iu which a schoolmaster had before the whole school accused a child of theft. It had afterwards been proved that the eliild was innocent, and Mr. Payne asked the Minister whether he would direct that the schoolmaster make an avowal of the child's innocence before the school. The Minister-. "Yes, certainly. If the board lias not done so, I will have pleasure in coniiuiinicaUhg with the board to sou that this is done as a mallei- of justice to an innocent child."
