MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
Mr J H. Hagerty presided over the regular meeting of the Makara County Council held yesterday morning. It was decided to advise applicants for the- purehaso of soil at ,the Ohiro Bay Boad'Beserve that their requests could not be entertained. . The owner of a horeo made a claim against the council for injuries received by the animal in falling through one of the county bridges. The council refused to recognise the claim. _ The council resolved to advise the City Council that, its traction-engine drivers wore not observing the law ffi regard to horse traffic. .' Accounts amounting to £U0 Us. u«. Tverb passed for payment.
