DEFENCE EXPENDITURE
MINISTER COURTS INQUIRY,
The Defence Minister referred in the House of Representatives-yesterday to a published statement to the effect that the Defence Department had under-, estimated expenditure seriously. Hedejiied that any miscalculation, had been made, and insisted that the estimate* were good estimates in 1 the light of all the information then in the possession of the Department.'
