Hardy, Bth (South Canterbury) Mounted Hilles, is appointed area olhcor, Blenheim, with the rank and pay of captain whilst so employed. . Lieutenant William H. Sooon. < Unattached List (b), is appointed assistant provost marshal, Canterbury Military District. Second Lieutenant Charles Gray, 11th Regiment (Taranaki Rifles), is appointed assistant provost marshal, Wellington: Military District. Major (temporary Lieutenant-Colonel) Alfred G. Talbot. New Zealand Medical Corps, relinquishes his appointment as assistant director of medical services, Auckland Military District, and the tera.porary rank of' lieutenant-colonel whilst so employed. Lieutenant-Colonel Philip O. Andrew, New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed, assistant director cf medical services, Auckland Military District, vice Major (temporary Ljejiteiant-Colonel) Alfred George Talbot. „ , , Major R. Gunn, New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed a member of. a special District Medical Board and granted the pay of lieutenant-colonel at Expeditionary Force rates whilst so acting, and is appointed president of ithe C 2 Eo-oxamination Board. Captain (temporary Major) John P. D. Leahy, New Zealand. Medical Corps, is granted the temporary rank of lieuten-ant-colonel whilst holding the appointment of principal medical officer. 1 rentham Camp. Captain G. M. L. Lester, M.R.C.S.. Eng., L.R.C.P., Lond., New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed a member ot a special District Medical Board, and granted the pay of lieutenant-colonel at Expeditionary Force rates. ' Captain Gerald \t. Russell, M.D.. 8.5.. New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed a member of a special District Jledical Board and granted the pay of lieutennnteolonel at Expeditionary Force rates. Captain Charles E. Reid, Corps of New Zealand Engineers /N.Z. Post and Telegraph Corps), is attached for duty with the War Expenses Branch, with the rank and pav of lieutenant. Captain Ernest E. Willoughby. Unattached List (b), is appointed an attesting 'officor under the Mjlitary Service Act, 1916.

Lieutenant Edward H. S. Batchelor. Ist (Canterbury) Regiment, Reservo of Officers, is appointed an attesting officer under the Military Service Act, 1916.

Honorary Captain William E. Reynolds, New Zealand Dental Corps, relinquishes his appointment as expert dental a_dviser to a medical board as from September 20, and retains tho honorary rank of captain until further notice. Honorary Lieutenant Frederick J. Mackintosh, Unattiched List '(b), relinquishes his appointment as officer-in-charge of camp records, Featherston, and the honorary rank of lieutenant whilst so employed; Promotions and Transfers. 10th (Nelson) Mounted Rifles. .
