BULL FAIR.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report :-Tho first annual bull fair conducted by the Associated Auctioneers at Palmerston North was held on October 10. There was a very larue and representative attendance, nuycrß being; present from the Taranaki. Waikato, Wellington, and Wairarapa districts. Our entry consisted of over 120 bulls of various breeds. Shorthorns predominating. There was an excellent demand, and tho bulk of our entry changed hands, Bood prices being obtained for sires of good quality. Mr. n. Gibson, Kiwitca, topped the market with a fifteen-month Shorthorn, which brought 43 guineas; a sij-year-old Shorthorn, the property of the same vendor, sold at <10 guineas, three Shorthorns on account of the estate of tho lato Jno Davies. Koputaroa, brought 30, 35, and 30 guineas respectively; a four-year-old Shorthorn, on account of Mr. J. Linklater, wae knocked down at 32 guineas; a yearling Shorthorn., on account of Mr. W. Pearco, Randotu. made 23 guineas; a lin,e of twentymonth grade Shorthorns, in rather low condition, Bold on account of Mr. 0. T. Keeblo brought from 12 to 18 guineas, two Jerseys on account of Mr. A. Buchanan sold at, 11 and 14 guineas; two yearling Shorthorns, bred by Mr. F. J. Boddy, brought 35 and 404 guineas respectively. A couple of Holstcius, on account, of Mr. W. Remnant, brought 25 and 15' guineas; a line of yearling to two-year-old Jerseyß, on account of Mr. S. R. Lancaster, brought from 12 to 15 guineas: On account of other vendors grade Shorthorns brought from 13 to 20 guineas, Holstcins 12 to 17} guineas, and Jereoys 11. to 16 guineas.
