WAR FUNDS COLLECTING COMMITTEE

Thursday, October 18', is the day this year which, has been sot aside as "Our flay," the day on which an appeal is made all through the British Dominions for Bed Cross funds. So far very Rood response has been mnde to the various calls made for funds for this purpose, but considerably more iis required to equal the collection of last year. Eight thousand pounds per day is required for Bed Cross work in the various fields, andi it is hoped that New Zealand will still maintain its reputation of contributing its fair share towards the good work done for our wounded soldiers and sailors. The treasurer would be pleased to acknowledge further donations.
