Bain, manager, State Fire Insurance, New Plymouth; Stephen Lamb, ploughman, KJopntatoa; Albert Mark Barr, apprentice marine. engineering, Wellington. The appeals of the following, who did not appear, were dismissed:—William Charles Satchwell, hairdresser, Wellington; .Frank. Jessop, carpenter, Wellington. . ■ ■

The case of .Bernard Rasmussen, mar "rrae engineer, was adjourned indefinitely pending the return, of a transport. The board, allowed'- the appeals" of •Harold K. Douglas, clerk,: Kelburn,.and . Oliver I. Weight, milk . .vendorj J\ewtown, on the ground that undue hardship ' would be . inflicted if appellants •were sent into camp, . Harold J. M'Millan, shepherd, of Korb .Korb, satisfied tho board, that ho was undes age. His appeal was allowed. 'Alfred E. Scott, pit.. foreman, Silverstream, proved to be over, age, and i?is appeal also; was allowed. • The case' of: Gordon Napier MaoJliarjnid, medical' practitioner, Taihape, v/aa adjourned.for a week, and ihat of WilJiani D. Ryalls, barman, Adelaide Eoad, lor two weeks.
