SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
Sir,—ln recent issues you have published two letters signed anonymously by men claiming to belong to the Second Division. These letters in a childish manner disparagingly refer in a general ■way to the Second Division League's claims. It is not my intention to. answer these letters, but only point out that if these two -writers, under_ their own names, will challenge any claim mado by the league as being unwarranted or.tinTeasonal)le, the Second Division League is prepared to answer them. Anonymous letters usually deserve to be ignored, but in the two instances referred to the faint suspioion is aroused that the writers do not belong to tho Second Division. If thej- do, it's apparent they are men of some wealth or are ■without a true regard far, the responsibilities they owe their drives aud children. Let them come out in the open and mako any direct statements with regard to the, league's claims and they irill be promptly answered. Tho Second Division League has a strong rase, and will be delighted-to further its claims I>y giving them publicity through your correspondence columns.— I am, etc,, . fl p _ Wellington, sth October, 1917.
