BRITISH ARMY STAFF APPOINTMENTS

General Sir Archibald Murray will succeed Sir Archibald Hunter m the Aldershot command. feir Archibald Hunter will take an important appointment at' the War Office.-E«uter. _ [Sir Archibald Murray was appointed Chief of the Imperial General btaft in October, 19T5. In December of the eanie year he was given the command of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, and in March, 1916. assumed supreme command of the Forces in Egypt- He returned to England some time ago. Sir Archibald Hunter commanded the British 3rd Army in France in 1914, and in the following year was given the command of a section of the New Arniy.l
