At the National Day of Prayer held at Greytown on Sunday there was a large attendance. The service was conducted by the Revs. A. W. H. Compton, W. .T. Enlicott, and Mr. W. Grundy (missioner). The Mayor presided, and opened proceedings with a few appropriate remarks. The famon6 Victor Cheese Vats are the manufacture of A. J. Parton. CariarTon. Every up-to-dato cheese factory should use one. Orders should be placed right now, because the steel shortage is making itself felt, and so orders can only be executed in rotation. A. J. Parton, Sheet Metal and Plumbing Works, Pembroke Street, Carterton,—Advt.
