FRENCH EX-MINISTER ATTACKED
CHARGED WITH SELLING PLANS TO A GERMAN. Paris, October 5. 11. Malvy, in the Chamber of Deputies, refuted an. accusation 'by M. Leon, Daudet contained in a letter to President Poincaie, alleging that M. Malvy sold the plans of the Chemin des Dames offensive to a German living in Spain. M. Painlere (Premier) staled that unless H. Daudet produced his proofs, severe steps would bo taken againt him.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [M. Malvy, who was recently Minister of the Interior for Prance, resigned, as he said, because he was being -made the subject of a campaign of calumny. In connection with the notorious "Bonnet Kongo" affair, M. Clemenceau accused M. Malvy of having been associated" with Almeryeda (editor of the "Bonnet Rouge"), who, lie alleged, was only the minor agent in a huge conspiracy. The Paris police raided the olfices of "I.e Bonnet Rouge," which was described by. a correspondent of "The Times" as de-" voted equally to the pacifist propaganda and the interests of If. Caillaux (tho exPrime Minister), whose conduct during the Agidir crisis, when Franco-German relations were severely strained, was unfavourably criticised. "La Liberie" said that Almeryeda had a conference in Switzerland with the notoriouß Austrian financier, Baron Rosenburer, whose, operations were partly responsible for tho second Balkan War.]
