London, October 4. The Admiralty reports that the varship Drake, dpnimamled by Captain Kedcliffe, was torpedoed on Tuesday off the north coast of Ireland. She reached harbour and| then, sank in shallow water The explosion killed one officer and eighteen men. Tho remainder were 6nvcd.-Ausi-N.7,. Cable Assn.-Reuter. I The Drake- is an armoured cruiser ot 14,100 tons, completed in 1902, at a cost of over .£1,000,000. She is armed with two 0.'2-inch and sixteen 6-inch guns. She carried a orew of M 0 men.|
