A statement was presented to the House of Representatives yesterday showing the results of the operations of the Imperial Government Supplies Department from March 3, 1915 (when operations commenced) to September SO, 1017. Totals: 1,625,321 quarters of beef, 5,983,903 carcasses of mutton, 7 354 o°3 carcasses lamb. Meat in store on September 8, 1917, for which no space has been allocated in overseas steamers: North Island, 1,701,150 carcasses mutton; South Island, 1,188,987 carcasses mutton. Cheese and Butter. Cheese (operations commenced November 4, 1915), 1915-16 season: Total shipped and arrived at destination, 189,562 crate Season 1916-17: Lost in transit 16,440 crates, shipped and arrived at destination 369,729 crates, en route to Britain 67 316 crates; total, 453,485 crates. Cheese in store on September 17 for which no snaco has been allocated m oversea steamers: North Island 6455 crates Butter in store awaiting shipment on private account on September 15, 191/: forth- Island 168,198 boxes, South Island 1754 bOSeS - " wool. Wool (operations commenced December 1 1916 : Lost in transit, 3865 bales.
