FRENCH CLUB

—; o ■ Tfie French Club held its weekly meeting on Thursday night, when there was a very fair attendance of members and Mends under the presidency of Miss Van Staveren. As an opening piece, Mademoiselle Deeleen sang "Oiseau sans Vol." Then followed a lecture by; Madame Decleene on "Moliere and his Comedies." Madame and Mademoiselle Decleene read several scenes from his comedies to illustrate the characteristics ot Ifis work. The lecturer was listened to attentively throughout, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Proceedings ended with the singing of the "Marseillaise."
