Plans ,to form a Girls' legion of Love aro beiifg made by the Young Women's Christian Association in the United States It is hoped that' this Legion of Women may join Britain's "Women's Auxiliary Army" on the European battlefronts. Thousands of leisured girls and young university women are holding themselves in readiness to answer the call to the battle-front in Aniorica to-day. They are Quartered by regular regiments close behind the,big gulis and are established as part of the British field forces. The women soldiers of America want to bo officially part of the American Expeditionary lowest tho expenses of the New Zealand slightly 'different military duties.. According to tho idea of the Young Women's Christian Association tho woman troops would be co-ordinated with the Y.M.C.A. Field Force, which is spending largo sums of money for the relief and comfort of the American "Sammies." Tho working out of the details of tho proposed legion is in the hands of a special committeo of the International -Young AVomen's Christian Association.
