' - NORTH CLUB.... ;The annual meeting of the Wellington : North Club was held on Tuesday evening before- a good attendance. The annual report congratulated the. blub on again being runners-up for the senior championship for the third, year in succession, and on tho marked improvement made in the, financial position. The 'club's roll of honour now numbered 36. One member. Sergeant R. Lambert, has been killed in action, and several havo been wounded.-' Lieutenant M. S. Galloway gained the Military Cross, and Private G. W. Whalley the Military Medal. . Officers for tho ensuing ■ season were elected as follow:—President, Sir Francis Bell', K.C, M.L.C.; vice-presidents, Hon. A. L. Herdman, Dr. A. K. Newman, Dr. W.E. Collins, C.M.G., Messrs. .Ino. Duncan, M. I-. Luckic. A. T. Bate, C. A. Kichardson,. C. Jl. Smith, E. I. Proud, R. M. Simpson, T. J. Thurmon, T. S. Ronaldson, L. 0. 11. Tripp, and Henry Hall; club captain, Mr. C. G. AVilson; management committee, Messrs. Jl. J. Grombie, A. ]?. Wiren, H. E. Burton, J. S. Hiddleston, J.d: Howitt, C. W. Armstrong, and W: H. Wilson; delegates to W.C. Association, -Messrs. Wilson, Crombie, and Luckie; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. H. Barker; hon. auditor, MY. C. H. Manson; 6onior selection committee, Messrs. .Wiren, Hiddleston. and Wilson. Two teams will bo entered for the competitions during the forthcoming season. Several new members were elected..'
