CURTAILMENT OF RACING
PATRIOTIC FUNDS AFFECTED. Melbourne, September 26. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Victoria Amateur Turf Olub, the chairman said that the curtailment of racing means a loss of between £5000 and £8000 to the Patriotic Fund, and a considerable loss to. the Government revenue. The matter was. however, officially and finally, settled, and it was no use protesting.—Prees Assn.
