NEWSPAPERS IN DIFFICULTIES. Amsterdam, Soptember 24. Owing to the shortage of paper, many important Berlin newspapers wore not published on Saturday, and others wero reduced, and there is a prospect that they will also cease publication. The Berlin "Tageblatt" says that the collapse of the paper supply hna produced an intolerable situation. 'Ihe great papers are unable to obtain even the modest quantities nsaigned to them, and are completely hampered in giving -Jiformation to the people.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. •
