A final meeting of members of the Citizens' Service League who are organising tlio refreshment stall in connection with Paddy's Market, was held at the Town Hall last evening-, when reports of the various arrangements .that'had been made in this connection were presented. The Wellington Red Cross Shop, Lamb-. ion Quay, on Friday will be in charge of the Karori Women's Rational Eeserve. There will be a good display of homemade- cakes, sweets, flowers, fancy work, etc., which should meet with a ready sale. A letter was received by a Wellington lady recently in which her brother, wno is fighting in France, and who had ]ust returned there from leave spent in England, announced the fact that he was quite glad to get back to the front. The second annual bazaar of Mr. J. B. Haddon's Sunday morning 'meeting was held in the schoolroom last Saturday afternoon. Four stalls and a side show were very neatly set out and iade;i with goods, which had been contributed by the members and their parents. The schoolroom was soon well filled with purchasers. The competition for the palmstand was won by Air. Mitchell, of Keefton. Cushions and other fancy g. °ds were sold by auction during the bazaar. The proceeds, which were in aid of the circuit fund, greatly c\ceede'a those of last year's bazaar. The organisers wish to express their thanks to all those who contributed to the stalls or helped in any other way to make the fair such a success.
