, , FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of-the S.P.C.A. was held yesterday afternoon in the offices of the society, Sir. Kilgour, the president, being in the chair. ■ The inspector's report dealt with recent cases of cruelty to, animals, one of which had been dealt with in the Magistrate's Court. . . There was practically no other business. The subscriptions for the fortnight ended September 25 totalled .£5 us. Cd. The bank balance totalled £12 Bs. 7fT. The sum of £6 for the inspector's uniform was passed for payment.
