SOLDIEES BEACH AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 24. A contingent of 232 soldiers andjtwe iwrsca arrived in Auckland to-day. Twenty-four of the officers are returning <m duty, and the remainder of the contingent have been invalided. 1 The ports ol destinations are: Auciuand, three oflicers and 08 ir.on; Wellington, 22 ofiSceia and 72 men and two nurses; Lyttelton, one officer and 26 men; Port Chalmers, 39 men. The"nieu include four.military medallists, Lieutenant Hugh Perkins, Christchurch (won when in the ranks as a bombardier); William Brown. Dunedin; Sergeant Edward Pox, Auckland. The D.C.31. is held by Sergeant Prank Holder, Napier. Two officers and one private have been recalled by the authorities for monitions work. The southern men leave by epecial train at ten o'clock to-night. i
