A COUNTER-REVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENT
OFFICERS OF HIGH RANK INVOLVED. (Rec. September 23, 5.5 p.m.) , . , , Stockholm, September 22. A big counter-revolutionary movement has been discovered at Tobolsk where the ex-Tsar is interned. The officers and the whole of the Tobolsk garrison were in the confidence of the revolutionary leaders, who planned first the release of the ex-Tear. There have been a hundred arrests already, including officers of hHi rank. It is alleged that Korniloff is co-operating with the plotters —Aus -N 7, Cable Assn. General Alexieft is resigning owing to a dispute with M. Kerensky. General Verkhovsky, the new Minister of War, announces that h© is replacing the whole supreme command pf the Army by new appointments.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. - SUKHOMLINOFF'S TRIAL. Petrograd, September 21." At tile Sukliomlinoff trial the Public Prosecutor urged that treason had been proved. The shady characters who surrounded the accused would be charged with espionage.—Eeuter.
