BEING CELEBRATED TO-DAY. Wednesday next, September 2G, is tho tenth anniversary of "Dominion" Day, but its annual celebration is one of tho "Mondayised" holidays, and is being kbpt up to-day. The day is not observed as a very general holiday. The banks, legal profession, [insurance offices, $ivil Service Departments, and the schools will close. Nothing by.way of a spccial celebration has been arranged to mark the day, but there will be races at Otaki, and a meeting of pioneers of Wellington and their descendants is to be held at the Town Hall in tho evening, under tho auspices of tlie Early Settlers' and Historical Association of Wellington,
