"■AN OLD MAN'S SUICIDE. An-inquest was held yesterday morning by Mr. W. G. Kiddell, S.M., concerning the death of a Swede named Neils Michelson. Lindeloff, aged ' 78, whou'e body was. found, in the harbour near . the Taranaki Street wharf on Thursday • morning. According to the evidence; Lindeloff -resided, with his 6on at 'H 'Abel Smith Street, and appeared to have taken very deliberate steps to commit suicide. He stuck a walking stick in tho ground; to.the walking stick was attached a. fishing line with a hook at the end, and the nook was fastened in hie clothee. The Coroner returned a verdict of "Found drowned," adding that the evidence pointed to the fact that deceased bad committed suicide.
