Thirty-five candidates (ten males f.nd twenty-five females) presented tlicniselvcs for confirmation in St. Matthew's Church, Aliuslerton, on Thursday. The matter of arranging another bowling tournament at Masterton will be discussed by.tlio Wairarapa Centre at an efMy date. The llasterton .Returned Soldiers' .Association has deckled to invest JMOI) of its funds in the proposed Heturned Soldiers' Club, aud the money will be forthwith handed over to the trustees. At the annual general meeting of Ko. 2 Workers' Mutual Benefit Building Society, Messrs. R. Kralingeu, A. IC. Johnston, and if. B. Iggalden were elected directors. A well-known lUsterton drover, Mr. Hugh Grahnin, died on Thursday at the age of thirty-five years.
