A curiouß'inemorial of the Zeppelin raid on Paris in iTannnry, 1916, lias been decided upon. It will be remembered that one, of the bombs dropped by the enemy struck the tube railway under the northern boulevards, making a largo hole oxtending from the 'surface downward through the top of the tunnel. This opening is to be made into a pennanont ventilating! shaft. The Zeppelin attack will thus have the unexpected result of permanently improving the nlr in this I«rt of the underground railway system.
