Accused. said, he had had too much drink. It was explained to accused that no Magistrate was sitting at Nelson till October 4, but that if he ■ intended to plead gnilty he could be sent to Welling- ■', ton and dealt with at an early date. . Accused, said lie would plead guilty, and was remanded to appear at Wellington on Monday. It appears that, accused was in the Wak.itu Hotel parlour shortly before closing time last night, and several people in the room heard the utterances. The matter was reported to the police and Pieterse was arrested this, morning.
