THE SEAMEN'S STRIKE
There is nothing to report in connection villi the striko of seamen on the small boats trading out of Wellington. The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Shipowners* Federation held a meetins,' vesterday afternoon, but at its conclusion the chairman (Mr. Deck) stated thai, there was'nothing to report. Tlie steamer Invercargill, owned by Messrs. Johnston and Co., was laid up at Wanganui on Monday on account ot the dispute with the seamen. There are now twenty-three coastal vessels idle, of which seventeen are at Wellington, three at Napier, two at Lyttclton, and one is at Wanganui.
