• TE HIWI CLUB. In the course of. the report submitted to the members of Te Hiwr Bowling Club at the annual meeting held on Monday evening it was stated that the farreaching effect of tho .Tvar was felt probably less in the game of bowls than in most of the other classes of recreation. It,was something to tho credit of the club,that amongst its email member, ship two of the mombers had enlisted since last season. Mr. W. Wiggins was on his way to tho front, if he bad i.ot already reached there, and slv. A, h. Duncani was in training at camp. Regret was expressed at the resignation of Mr. D. Skinner, who had rendered most valuable assistance to the club. Others who ha<J resigned would also be missed. , , .... The presented (which, with the report, wa9 adopted) whs of a satisfactory character. The following officers were elected:— Life president, Mr. C. Hill, sen.; life vice-president, Mr. E. J. Hill; executive committee, Messrs. Innes, Houldsworth, Warwick, and H. R. Smith; lion, secretary, Mr. R. W. Shallcrass; hon. tieaeurei% Mr. H. R. Smith; sole selector, Mr. R. Houldsworth. ' ' It was decided that the subscription for the ensuing year should be 30s.
