6 By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dargaville, September IS. An enthusiastic public meeting at,Dargaville to-night was attended by 500 people. The' following motion was carried unanimously: "That in view of the rap-idly-growing hostile feeling against the aliens in this district; regarding tlie lack of service on'their part to assist the Government Tuid the Allies to win the war, this public "meeting of the citizens of Dargaville and district calls upon the Government to take immediately such action «9 will effectually ensure equal sacrifice being made- by all aliens in s.cme form of vcar -work before calling upon the first class of the Second Division , to go into camp."
