BRITISH DEPARTMENT'S POLICY. London, September IC. Replying to a .-ltputnUor:, the Minister of National Service (General A. C. Geddes) stated that the Department had teen reorganised ivith. a view to meeting a forthcoming demand for more recruits. Hβ emphasised that; in order that the Army should be well balanced the civil population should do the necessary war work. Men of all military ages must bo recruited, and some men of all ages must remain at home. By this means a healthy public opinion would be maintained.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
