KERENSKY DECLINES TO MAKE TERMS
I MARCHES OUT AS HEAD OF AN ARMY GERMAN CHECK ON RIGA 'FRONT ANOTHER DIPLOMATIC EXPOSURE The Russian situation, it is stated to-day, still continues to remain grave and obscure. The-dispatches from various sources are a mass of contradictory assertions and speculations. Koruiloff is reported to have surrendered; again, iiis headquarters are said to have surrendered; again, Korniloff's resignation has been demanded, he has offered to surrender on certain conditions, which Iverensky declines to consider, namely, that the country shall be placed under a dictatorship of three, of which he shall bo one. Other reports slate that ICerensky has marched out from Petrograd at the head •of an army to meet Korniloff. , There is no official statement from Iverensky, and nono from Korniloff. An official communique, containing belated dispatches from the battle front,i states that tho Germans have been checked, and that the Eussians are advancing, capturing prisoners and booty. On all points concerning tho internal situation, it is stated, tho German Press is curiously well informed. No material developments aro reported from tho other main/theatres.
